This coin is a part of the Silver treasure salvaged from the El Cazador shipwreck. The wreckage of the Spanish treasure ship was discovered off the coast of New Orleans by a fishing trawler in 1993.
-1/2 Reales minted in New Spain and recovered from the El Cazador.
